About the Walmart Integration

The Walmart integration establishes a connection between VeraCore and Walmart through four key touchpoints. These touchpoints enable the synchronization of product catalogs and inventory balances, the submission of new Walmart orders into VeraCore for processing, and the transmission of shipment and tracking data for shipped orders back to Walmart for updating. 

The Walmart integration is managed and executed via VeraCore’s Integration Hub, which serves as the central command for most, if not all, of your VeraCore integrations. 

How the Touchpoints Work

Product Catalog

When activated, this touchpoint synchronizes Walmart SKU definitions with VeraCore. Subsequently, it can be scheduled to run at regular intervals to update VeraCore with any product/SKU modifications in Walmart. If desired, you can disable the touchpoint to bypass the initial sync and have it only run according to its schedule.

Inventory Balances

VeraCore updates SKU availability in Walmart according to the balances in VeraCore’s WMS, ensuring precise availability in the online marketplace. As Walmart orders are imported into VeraCore, the products become reserved within the WMS. Following a predetermined schedule, VeraCore transmits inventory balances back to Walmart, updating the availability to reflect new receipts and any inventory adjustments. 

If you have multiple warehouses in VeraCore and have activated location logic in the integration setup, availability can be communicated by WMS/Walmart Location.

Once payment is settled for an order in Walmart, the order is forwarded to VeraCore’s OMS for processing. Subsequently, the fulfillable shipping order is sent automatically to the WMS for additional processing and picking. After the order is picked and packed, shippers dispatch the order using VeraCore.

Upon recording the shipments, VeraCore transmits the shipment and tracking details back to Walmart for order updates. The fulfillments returned to Walmart consist of product and tracking data for every shipped package. After Walmart obtains the shipment and tracking information, a notification is sent to the customer, informing them that their order is en route.
